Parent Resources

Nearly 30 percent of the population of the City of Coral Springs are children.  As our most vulnerable population, it is our goal to provide you with as many resources as possible to maintain their safety.  Whether this is projected in a strong school security posture using a School Resource Officer Program or additional safety programs implemented to empower both parents and students, the Coral Springs Police Department remains committed to the safety of your children.  Listed below are just a few resources included on this web-site specifically for the parents.

“There is no more important job in any society than raising children, and there is no more important influence on how children develop than their parents.”Steinberg, Laurence

Parents Are the Key to Safe Teen Drivers

Car crashes—the #1 killer of teens—take about 2,800 young lives every year. As a parent, you should know that the main cause of teen crashes is driver inexperience. All new drivers—even straight-A students and “good kids”—are likelier than experienced drivers to be involved in a fatal crash. It’s a fact.  Link: http://www.cdc.gov/parentsarethekey/index.html
